Position Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Manager to join our team at HMS Networks, within the Building Automation division. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and driving the growth of our Intesis brand solutions across the Datacenter market segment. You will collaborate closely with product management, sales, and technical teams to develop and execute strategies that expand our market presence and deliver innovative solutions to this strategic segment.


The ideal candidate possesses strong communication and negotiation skills, has experience in the datacenter sector, and demonstrates a proactive approach to achieving ambitious targets. This is a remote role based in the US with preference to the east coast.


Essential Job Functions

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the Datacenter market segment.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
  • Define go-to-market strategy to ensure commercial success.
  • Collaborate with product management, sales, and technical teams to execute market expansion strategies.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to guide business development strategies.
  • Define and shape our business model and value proposition for the datacenter market.
  • Participate in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to increase brand visibility.
  • Drive company growth and maximize revenue generation.
  • Provide feedback to internal teams to support product and service improvements.
  • Keep CRM data updated to ensure clear pipeline tracking and accurate forecasts.



Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Telecommunications, Electronics), Business Administration or similar preferred
  • Extensive expertise in the datacenter sector, including a deep understanding of industry standards and technologies.
  • Proven ability to identify growth opportunities.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Effective communication skills and used to work in an international environment.
  • Proficiency in Spanish language a plus


Additional skills to be considered

  • Comprehensive understanding of HVAC systems and the associated marketplace.
  • Proficient in building automation protocols, including KNX, BACnet or Modbus.


Travel

Expected travel needs up to 50%, both national and international.
