Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Business Development Manager role based in Aizawl. The Business Development Manager will identify and develop new business opportunities, build and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals, distributors, and institutional clients, and expand market presence for the company’s pharmaceutical portfolio. Daily responsibilities include conducting market research, analyzing territory potential, preparing business plans, managing key accounts, and coordinating with marketing and sales teams to execute promotional strategies. The role also involves negotiating contracts, monitoring sales performance, ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulations, and providing regular reports and forecasts to management. The Business Development Manager will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to support product launches, optimize brand positioning, and contribute to long-term growth in the region.
Qualifications

  • Strong business development, sales, and account management skills, with the ability to identify opportunities and drive revenue growth.
  • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, healthcare market dynamics, and relevant therapeutic areas; prior experience in pharma sales or business development is highly beneficial.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Solid analytical and planning abilities, including proficiency in market research, forecasting, and performance tracking.
  • Demonstrated organizational and time-management skills, with the capacity to work independently and meet targets in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Business, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification in Management or Marketing is an advantage.
  • Comfort with using CRM tools, productivity software, and basic data analysis applications to manage pipelines and reporting.
  • Willingness to travel within the region as required and a commitment to ethical, compliant business practices.
