The Job:
As a Specified Fastening Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving DEWALT’s anchors business as a strategic growth initiative across the United States. This role leads a team of specialists to seamlessly execute strategies across field and business development teams. You will own the development of the anchors business in key user accounts, mentor a team, and deliver innovative, end-user facing strategies to grow sales and market share.
You’ll get to:
- Develop and execute a business development strategy focused on high-value end-user accounts and construction projects, maximizing market share and profitability for the DEWALT Anchors business.
- Serve as point of contact for strategic national end-user accounts and construction projects, ensuring seamless communication and execution.
- Own the development and growth of the anchors business within key user accounts and major projects, creating and implementing action plans to capture market share.
- Lead and mentor a team of Anchor Specialists, fostering a culture of accountability, growth, and collaboration while aligning teams to strategic goals.
- Monitor and manage the national opportunity pipeline across multiple teams (Anchor Agencies, Field Engineers, Specified Fastening Specialists, Business Development, Market Managers, and Trade Specialists), ensuring consistent accountability for top opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key end users, contractors, facility owners, specifiers, and influencers at all organizational levels.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, product, engineering, marketing) to deliver customized solutions that address complex end-user needs and provide expert guidance on product selection and application.
- Regularly analyze market opportunities, trends, and competitor activities, providing actionable feedback to inform business strategy and product development.
- Represent DEWALT at industry events, trade shows, and key meetings, positioning the company as a trusted partner for national accounts.
- Track, analyze, and report on key performance indicators, pipeline health, ROI, and overall business impact to senior leadership.
- Foster a culture of innovation, agility, and customer-centricity within the organization.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree (e.g., Business Management, Engineering) preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in sales, marketing, or business development within the construction industry, with a proven record of success at the national level.
- Proven ability to lead, and align teams to strategic goals, driving accountability and celebrating team success.
- Deep understanding of the construction ecosystem, including end-user dynamics and decision-making processes.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple high-value opportunities and complex sales cycles simultaneously.
- Exceptional relationship-building skills at all organizational levels and with external partners.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce.com, CRM systems, and digital collaboration tools.
- Willingness and ability to travel nationally up to 60%.

The Total Target Cash Compensation range for this position is $105,000.00 - $169,100.00
- This is the lowest to highest total target cash compensation range we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. Total target cash compensation offered may vary depending on multiple factors including job level, geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience and in compliance with local wage requirements. This role is eligible for a sales incentive plan or commission. Therefore, the total target cash compensation range is inclusive of base salary and target variable cash compensation. Please note that salary is only one component of total rewards at Stanley Black & Decker.
