MTC is seeking an experienced, results-driven sales professional to lead business development efforts with a primary focus on expanding our presence throughout the West Coast market. This individual will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic customer relationships, and driving revenue growth across MTC’s portfolio of raw materials and specialty ingredients.


The ideal candidate has an established network within the nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, food & beverage, cosmetic, personal care, chemical, or related manufacturing industries and a proven track record of generating new business and growing strategic accounts.


Responsibilities: (but not limited to)


Sales & Business Development

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan focused on expanding MTC’s customer base throughout the West Coast while identifying opportunities in other key markets.
  • Promote MTC’s portfolio of raw materials, specialty ingredients, and inventory programs while identifying opportunities to introduce new products and suppliers.
  • Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals, revenue targets, and profitability objectives.


Account Management

  • Develop long-term relationships with new and existing customers by providing exceptional service, responsiveness, and technical coordination.
  • Manage customer quotations, pricing, contracts, blanket purchase agreements, and long-term supply opportunities.
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline, customer forecasts, CRM activity, and business development reports.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with customers to identify growth opportunities and strengthen strategic partnerships.
  • Collaborate with Finance to review customer credit limits, payment history, and collections when necessary.


Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Procurement, Operations, Quality, Logistics, Finance, and Executive Leadership to ensure successful execution of customer projects and orders.
  • Coordinate inventory planning to support customer forecasts, contract purchasing, and stock programs.
  • Provide Senior Leadership with regular sales forecasts, market intelligence, competitive insights, and updates on key business opportunities.


Education and Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, Chemistry, Food Science, or a related field preferred.
  • 7+ years of B2B sales and business development experience within raw materials, specialty ingredients, nutraceuticals, pharmaceuticals, food ingredients, chemicals, or related manufacturing industries.
  • Demonstrated success developing new business and expanding sales territories.
  • Existing customer relationships and industry contacts within the West Coast market are strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of ingredient distribution, pricing strategies, contract negotiations, and supply chain operations.


Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience using CRM systems and ERP software (SAP experience preferred).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel frequently throughout the West Coast, with occasional travel to company headquarters and industry events.


Physical Demands:

  • Required to reach with arms and use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects and tools
  • Required to stoop, kneel, crouch, stand, bend, sit, talk, hear, climb stairs and ladders
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus


Work Environment:

  • Work in an office environment
  • May be in contact with Allergens (Milk, Eggs, Fish, Crustacean Shellfish. Tree Nuts, Peanuts, Wheat, and Soybeans)
  • Potential to move between office and warehouse areas to complete job functions, include close proximity to heavy machinery and powders
  • This position is onsite



We offer a comprehensive benefit package including medical, dental, vision, and 401K with match.


Compliance with New York State Human Rights Pay Transparency Law, the annual rate range for this position is 80K to 120K. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. MTC considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
