The Opportunity
The Portfolio Manager plays a critical role in ensuring technology investments are aligned with strategic business priorities and financial objectives. This role is responsible for overseeing the Project Approval Request (PAR) process, managing portfolios across Global Technology organizations, and partnering with senior leaders to plan, prioritize, govern, and monitor complex technology initiatives.
The Portfolio Manager serves as a trusted advisor to business and technology leaders, providing guidance on investment decisions, project governance, financial planning, portfolio health, and resource prioritization. The successful candidate will combine strong financial acumen, analytical thinking, and stakeholder management skills to drive effective portfolio outcomes and continuous process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the Project Approval Request (PAR) process from intake through executive approval.
  • Facilitate portfolio reviews and executive governance forums to support investment decisions.
  • Partner with Expense Management, Finance, and business stakeholders to manage portfolio forecasts and funding impacts resulting from new initiatives.
  • Analyze project financials including capital expenditures (CapEx), operating expenditures (OpEx), depreciation impacts, contract structures, and funding requirements.
  • Assist leadership teams with technology investment decisions and portfolio optimization opportunities.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Information Technology or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in portfolio management, PMO, project governance, financial analysis, technology planning, or related disciplines.
  • Strong understanding of project and portfolio management methodologies and governance frameworks.
  • Demonstrated experience managing large, complex technology initiatives and investments.
  • Advanced financial acumen with knowledge of:
    • Capital (CapEx) and Operating (OpEx) expense treatment
    • Technology contracts and vendor agreements
    • Forecasting and budget management
    • Business case development and investment analysis

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience within a technology PMO, Technology Finance, Portfolio Management, or Strategy organization.
  • Experience supporting executive governance and investment approval processes.
  • Experience with portfolio management and financial planning platforms (e.g., Apptio, ServiceNow, Power BI, Azure DevOps).

Location Expectation: This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in office.
The expected salary range for this position is $90,000 - $120,000 . This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation and stock-based long-term incentives. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
