Role Description The Business Development Specialist is a full-time hybrid role based in Oviedo, FL, with some flexibility for work from home. This role is responsible for identifying and cultivating new referral sources, building relationships with healthcare providers, community organizations, and local businesses, and promoting Comfort Keepers’ services in the Oviedo area. Day-to-day activities include conducting market research, performing lead generation activities, scheduling and attending outreach visits and networking events, and following up on inquiries to convert prospects into clients. The specialist will collaborate with office and care teams to ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new clients, maintain accurate records in CRM systems, and prepare regular reports on sales activity and performance. The role also involves supporting local marketing initiatives, such as community presentations, digital campaigns, and events, to increase brand visibility and community engagement.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills and experience with Market Research to identify opportunities, trends, and competitive positioning.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication abilities and Customer Service skills to build relationships, present services clearly, and support prospective clients and referral partners.
- Candidates should possess Lead Generation experience, including prospecting, outreach, and follow-up to grow the client base and referral networks.
- Prior experience in business development, sales, or marketing, ideally within home care, healthcare, or related service industries.
- Proficiency with CRM tools, Microsoft Office or similar productivity software, and basic digital marketing practices.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment, managing time and priorities effectively.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation for local travel, and willingness to attend community events and meetings.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred but not required; equivalent experience will be considered.
