The Account Development Representative (ADR) is a specialist new business role responsible for generating sales opportunities through proactive, high-volume outbound calls. The primary purpose of the role is to identify, engage, and qualify new customers before handing qualified opportunities to the Account Executive team. Success in this role is measured by consistent outbound activity, the quality of qualified meetings generated, and contribution to the sales pipeline and new business revenue.

Responsibilities

• Conduct high-volume outbound prospecting via phone, email, LinkedIn, SMS, and other approved channels.
• Identify and engage new prospective customers through CRM data, market research and other lead sources.
• Qualify prospects against company criteria and uncover customer needs.
• Book qualified meetings for the Account Executive team that meet company quality standards.
• Build value during conversations to maximise meeting attendance and customer engagement.
• Consistently achieve outbound activity KPIs including calls, conversations, meetings, and pipeline targets.
• Maintain accurate customer information, notes, and activity within HubSpot.
• Follow company sales playbooks, qualification frameworks, and outreach sequences.
• Participate in coaching, training, call reviews, and team meetings.
• Escalate market feedback, customer insights, or process improvements to the Team Leader.
  

Key Qualifications/Experience

• Minimum 1 year experience in a phone-based, customer service, or sales role
• Experience in lead generation, customer engagement, or appointment setting would be an advantage
• Experience working in a marketplace, SaaS, or sales environment would be an advantage
• Exposure to the construction industry or related sectors would be beneficial but not essential
• Confidence using digital systems and tools to manage daily tasks and communication
• Experience using CRM systems (e.g. HubSpot) or similar platforms would be an advantage
• Competent level of computer literacy, including GSuite or Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Well organized, reliable, and able to manage time effectively to meet targets and deadlines
