- Maintain a robust, transparent sales pipeline within the CRM, consistently hitting or exceeding quarterly and annual gross profit targets
- Lead the strategy and preparation for complex, high-value RFPs, RFQs, and tenders, collaborating with the Pricing, Trade Lane Management, and Operations teams to ensure competitive and profitable bids
- Conduct comprehensive supply chain analyses for prospects to identify cost-saving opportunities, route optimizations, and transit time efficiencies
- Transition newly won accounts seamlessly to the operations and customer service teams via a structured implementation process
- Stay highly informed on global logistics trends, capacity fluctuations, shipping rate volatility, and regulatory updates to position yourself as a trusted advisor to clients
- Collaborate with international agents, overseas offices, and domestic trade lane managers to develop strategic, bilateral trade lane growth initiatives
- Attend trade shows, industry conferences, and networking events to elevate the brand's visibility and generate executive-level leads
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Business, or a related field
- 5+ years of proven, quota-carrying sales or business development experience specifically within the international freight forwarding sector
- A demonstrated track record of building and managing a book of business yielding consistent gross profit growth
- Deep, practical knowledge of global shipping regulations, Incoterms, customs clearance procedures, and multi-modal logistics operations
- Proficiency in using CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) to track sales activities and pipeline health
- Superior negotiation, presentation, and communication skills. You must possess the resilience required for high-velocity B2B hunting and the strategic acumen to build long-term corporate relationships
