The Sales Development Representative is a pivotal role within our growth engine, responsible for driving revenue, expanding our market footprint, and serving as a trusted advisor to our high-profile corporate clients. This is a consultative B2B sales position where you will handle the entire account lifecycle—from initial inbound discovery and needs assessment to customized proposal creation, pitch presentation, and contract closure.
In this role, you aren’t just selling standard packages; you are collaborating with HR leaders, corporate event planners, executives, and Destination Management Companies (DMCs) to build shared experiences that improve company culture, drive employee engagement, and achieve specific professional development objectives. You must possess a unique blend of creative problem-solving, exceptional communication skills, and data-driven pipeline management.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct meetings with corporate clients to identify group size, specific goals, time constraints, location logistics, and budget parameters.
- Assess client requirements; create high-impact event recommendations utilizing our extensive catalog of over 50 unique team building categories.
- Nurture an active portfolio of existing accounts, identifying opportunities for repeat business and cross-selling across separate regional branches of multinational companies.
- Cultivate strategic partnerships with venue coordinators, high-end hotels, incentive agencies, and local Destination Management Companies (DMCs) to capture preferred vendor opportunities.
- Act as the primary client advocate throughout the booking lifecycle, ensuring seamless alignment between client expectations and event execution.
- Manage a high volume of inbound email and phone inquiries with a focus on speed-to-contact and thorough initial qualification.
- Maintain absolute documentation integrity within the corporate CRM platform (Salesforce), tracking all communication touchpoints, pipeline stages, and accurate revenue forecasting.
- Collaborate closely with internal staff (Production, Program Management, and Event Facilitators) during the transition from "Closed-Won" to operational kickoff, ensuring a flawless execution on the day of the event. Discuss client expectations and requirements.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Professional Experience: 3 to 5+ years of demonstrable success in a B2B sales, account management, or business development role.
- Industry Background: Prior experience in the hospitality industry, corporate event planning, destination management (DMCs), corporate training, or experiential marketing is highly preferred.
- Communication Excellence: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to compose compelling, professional proposals and deliver persuasive pitches.
- Technical Proficiency: Experienced using modern CRM software (such as Salesforce or HubSpot), virtual presentation platforms (Zoom, MS Teams), and a strong aptitude for understanding and explaining app-based technology.
- Mindset & Drive: A highly creative problem-solver with a collaborative attitude who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a proven track record of meeting or exceeding individual sales quotas.
