The Role in One Line

Be RTA’s boots-on-the-ground presence in the Seacoast NH market — the person who builds local relationships, converts walk-in families into customers, and connects our in-person experience to a best-in-class virtual sales and delivery team. This role sits at the center of everything: sales, operations, marketing, and the mission.

Why This Matters

RTA Outdoor Living is a $25M+ digital-native, tech-enabled DTC brand redefining how families design and build custom outdoor kitchens. We’ve built an exceptional virtual sales and design process — and now we’re proving that the right in-person presence can extend that reach into local markets in a way no digital ad ever could.

This isn’t a role someone manages from a distance. It’s a role someone owns. The right person will have real data, a strong team behind them, and the autonomy to go build something. What they do with that is up to them — and the results will show it.

What You Will Own

Local Sales & Customer Engagement: Every family who walks through our door is looking for something — a backyard where they can gather, cook, and connect. Your job is to meet them there, guide them with expertise, and hand them off to our Design team ready to move forward.

  • Greet, qualify, and guide walk-in customers through RTA’s product and design process with confidence and genuine care
  • Run intro consultations and hand off warm prospects to our Designers with full context and clear next steps
  • Serve as the in-person resource when Designers route nearby prospects to the Greenland location
  • Follow up on every conversation — in HubSpot, on time, every time

Trade Partner Development & Outbound Prospecting: Some of our best partnerships start with a cold call or an in-person drop-in. This is where a competitive, self-driven person makes their mark — building a referral network that feeds the pipeline long after the first conversation.

  • Build and work a target list of local builders, landscape architects, hardscape contractors, pool builders, and high-end remodelers
  • Run consistent outreach via email, phone, and in-person drop-ins to develop genuine, lasting referral relationships
  • Sign local trade partners to referral arrangements and actively develop those relationships into producing pipelines
  • Track every touch and next step in HubSpot — you own your pipeline and the numbers behind it

Neighborhood & Community Outreach: The families we’re meant to serve are already out there — in the neighborhoods, on the NextDoor groups, at the Saturday farmer’s market.

  • Identify and canvass high-end neighborhoods within the Seacoast NH market
  • Deploy targeted door hangers, postcards, and in-person introductions in the right zip codes
  • Build RTA’s presence across local digital communities — Instagram, Nextdoor, neighborhood Facebook groups
  • Own and grow the Greenland Google Business Profile: posts, photos, reviews, and Q&A
  • Coordinate with RTA’s central marketing team to stay on-brand and amplify what’s working

Cross-Functional Connector: This role doesn’t sit in a silo. You’ll be the link between what’s happening on the ground and the sales, manufacturing, and delivery teams who need that context to do their best work.

  • Partner with the Sales team to align on local pipeline activity, lead quality, and handoff process
  • Keep Manufacturing and Delivery informed on anything coming through the local market that affects timelines or expectations
  • Surface patterns, feedback, and opportunities from customer interactions back to leadership — your market intel matters
  • Contribute to a team that is results-driven, data-informed, and wired to win together

Location Operations: Every great team has someone who makes sure the engine runs. In this role, that’s part of the job — and done well, it’s also an opportunity to spot improvements and make things better for everyone.

  • Keep the Greenland location sharp, professional, and customer-ready at all times
  • Manage inbound calls, correspondence, and day-to-day communications with professionalism and care
  • Handle mail, packages, and vendor communications; identify and flag operational inefficiencies when you see them
  • Be present and on-site during published hours, including Saturday mornings, and champion the schedule that drives the most traffic

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is competitive by nature, energized by people, and wired to own their outcomes. Someone who sees a blank market and gets excited about what they can build in it. At RTA, we call this being an Indomitable Doer — someone who figures it out, follows through, and raises the bar for everyone around them.

This person is equally at home in a polished customer consultation and knocking on a contractor’s door. They want their work to mean something — and they’ll have the data, the team, and the tools to prove it does.

Who You Are

  • Demonstrated success in B2C sales, business development, or home services — hardscape, landscape, pool, kitchen/bath, real estate, or remodeling all qualify
  • Competitive and self-directed — you set your own pace, own your calendar, and don’t wait for permission or daily direction
  • A natural connector — you build trust quickly, follow up reliably, and leave people feeling genuinely cared for
  • Strong communicator, written and verbal — comfortable running a confident consultation and crafting a sharp outreach message
  • Tech-comfortable — HubSpot or comparable CRM, Google tools, and social media are already part of how you work
  • Local to Seacoast NH and able to commit to full on-site presence in Greenland, NH

Nice to Have

  • Existing network in NH/MA/ME building, landscape, or design trades
  • Social media content skills — Reels, Stories, local community group engagement
  • Google Business Profile or local SEO experience
  • Experience working in a cross-functional, fast-moving team environment

Not the Right Fit

We want to be upfront. This role isn’t for everyone — and that’s okay. You’ll know it’s not right for you if:

  • You prefer a reactive, inside-sales or order-taker environment
  • You need a lot of structure, direction, or hand-holding to stay on course
  • You’re motivated by proximity to leadership rather than the work itself
  • You see the operational side of any role as beneath you — at RTA, everyone contributes at every level

What You Get

  • Competitive hourly rate starting at $25/hr, commensurate with experience
  • Performance incentives tied to results — this is a team that rewards people who produce
  • A real cross-functional role with visibility across sales, manufacturing, delivery, and leadership
  • Autonomy to build something — your market, your relationships, your outcomes
  • A mission worth showing up for: Bringing Families Together, one backyard at a time

At RTA, culture is the invisible rope that binds our team together. We succeed when we pull our weight, lift each other up, and show up All-In for the mission. If this sounds like your kind of work, we’d love to hear from you.
