About Renewlium Pte Ltd

Renewlium is a fast-scaling global trader and technology enabler in the biofuels and circular economy

sector. We specialize in ISCC-certified biofuels, waste-based feedstocks, and advanced conversion

technologies, with active expansion into 6 new markets. Our mission is to bridge gaps between Asian

suppliers (especially China), global buyers, and cutting-edge biofuel technologies.

Job Summary

As a Business Development Executive, you will drive Renewlium’s growth in the Chinese market by

securing feedstock suppliers, technology partners, and biofuel buyers. Fluent in English and Mandarin,

you will act as the key liaison between Chinese technology providers, raw material suppliers, and

Renewlium’s global operations. This role combines technical understanding of biofuels, negotiation

skills, and market intelligence.

Key Responsibilities

Market Expansion & Client Acquisition

  • Identify and onboard Chinese feedstock suppliers (e.g., UCO, PFAD, agricultural waste) and biofuel technology providers (e.g., HVO, biodiesel, pyrolysis).
  • Build relationships with China-based traders, refineries, and tech startups to secure long-term contracts.
  • Develop strategies to penetrate China’s growing biofuel demand and export markets.

Technology Partnerships

  • Scout and evaluate innovative biofuel technologies (e.g., pretreatment, refining, waste-to-fuel) from Chinese providers.
  • Negotiate licensing, JVs, or distribution agreements for Renewlium’s global network.
  • Coordinate with technical teams to assess feasibility and scalability of new technologies.

Sales & Negotiation

  • Structure and close deals for biofuel feedstocks, offtake agreements, and tech solutions.
  • Prepare pricing models, term sheets, and contracts in Mandarin/English.
  • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure smooth cross-border transactions.

Market Intelligence

  • Monitor China’s biofuel policies, subsidies, and regulatory shifts (e.g., CBAM, RED II impacts).
  • Analyze competitor activity and feedstock pricing trends in Asia.
  • Provide internal reports on China market opportunities and risks.

Requirements

Must-Have:

  • Fluent in Mandarin & English (written/spoken) – Business-level negotiation skills in both.
  • 3+ years in business development, sales, or sourcing in biofuels, renewable chemicals, or energy trading.
  • Proven track record of dealing with Chinese suppliers/partners (e.g., UCO collectors, tech firms).
  • Technical understanding of biofuel feedstocks, refining processes, or waste-to-energy technologies.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to China and Southeast Asia.

Ideal Candidate

  • Existing network in China’s biofuel/clean tech sector.
  • Experience with ISCC certification, carbon credits, or circular economy solutions.
  • Strong grasp of trade finance, logistics, and Incoterms for cross-border deals.
