Role Overview
The Business Development / Project Manager is responsible for driving business growth and managing key projects in the Korea market. This role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, supporting sales initiatives, and coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution while aligning with global headquarters’ strategies and policies.
Responsibilities
1. Business Development & Customer Management
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key customers to identify new business opportunities.
- Expand existing customer accounts by promoting new products and solutions.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to drive business growth.
- Coordinate commercial discussions and support quotation, pricing, and contract negotiations.
2. New Product Introduction (NPI) Management
- Act as the primary customer interface during the NPI phase.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution from design to production.
- Participate in technical, engineering, and quality meetings with customers and communicate customer requirements internally.
- Review customer specifications, approval sheets, and technical documentation.
- Serve as the Voice of Customer (VOC) by coordinating development activities between customers and internal engineering teams.
3. Mass Production (MP) Support
- Manage customer communications for all mass production models.
- Provide timely responses regarding:
- Product specifications
- Electrical characteristics
- Raw material status
- Production updates
- Delivery and quality issues
- Coordinate Engineering Change Notices (ECN), Change Requests (CR), and quality-related activities.
- Support issue resolution by working closely with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams.
4. Technical & Cross-functional Coordination
- Act as the primary communication window between customers and internal departments, including: R&D, Engineering, Reliability, EMC, Quality, Manufacturing
- Coordinate customer requests for product samples, technical documentation, compliance certificates (RoHS, REACH, etc.), and other engineering documents.
- Ensure customer requirements are effectively communicated and executed internally.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Sales, Business Development, Program Management, or Account Management within the electronics manufacturing industry.
- Experience managing customers throughout both NPI and Mass Production phases.
- Strong understanding of: Industrial Power Supply, AI Server Power Supply, Data Center Power Solutions, Consumer Electronics, FATP manufacturing, EMS manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with PCB design concepts, electrical functional testing, and product development processes.
- Experience working with international customers such as Samsung, LG, Hyundai/Kia, or other global OEMs is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Engineering Change Management (ECN), quality management, and product lifecycle management.
- Excellent project coordination and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills in English.
