NI is seeking a business and technical leader to help support our expansion within the Americas energy ecosystem and to enable companies as they bring their technology to market.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be
This hands-on customer-facing role requires that the ideal candidate develops and executes NI’s strategy to expand our reach and business in Energy accounts.
It will be critical to work in collaboration with NI’s business, marketing, sales, technical, and partner teams to develop and execute our go-to-market strategies and build new business development motions. Success will be measured based on measurable pipeline created and market viewing NI as a trusted partner.
This role is designed for a professional with 5+ years of experience who can operate independently, influence without authority, and represent NI with confidence.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy and growth plan for Energy business in the Americas region, primarily focused on finding new Energy business, supporting engagements during the initial phases, and nurturing accounts to deliver successful business outcomes.
- Drive cross-functional teams to build a Go-to-Market strategy with action-oriented plans that achieve our core objectives.
- Become a business and technology leader with key accounts to develop strong customer relationships that will inform our key value propositions and accelerate business growth.
- Champion your customers with our investment and business decisions, including the definition and prioritization of product features and requirements based on customer needs, competitive analysis, and market trends.
- Evangelize our strategy to our internal and external stakeholders to ensure there is a clear understanding of our plans and focus areas.
For This Role, You Will Need
- Bachelors degree in engineering or other technical discipline
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in business development, sales, product management, and/or market development
- Strong communication, relationship-building, stakeholder management and entrepreneurship spirit
- Technical fluency with NI technology, including system architecture, test & measurement strategies, and platform discussions (hands-on coding not required)
- Acceptance of 30-40% travel time
- Only U.S. Persons (U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, or protected individuals as defined by 22 CFR
- 120) may be considered.
- Preferred – experience within the Energy industry with systems supporting downstream Oil & Gas, advanced nuclear fission, nuclear fusion, energy storage, or power conversion
