Commercial Manager

Role Overview

The role is responsible for delivering the commercial revenues from concessions operating at the airports, as outlined in RCA’s long terms plans, and the relationships with the individual concessionaires. The role reports to the RCA Commercial Director and sits within the commercial team.

There are currently no direct reports, but the role will work collaboratively with the airport finance and group marketing teams as well as the terminal duty management teams.

The role’s main focus involves maximising income from third party operators, namely:

• Food and Beverage Concessions
• Duty and Tax Free Shops
• Duty Paid Shops
• Onward Travel
• Advertising

Overview of Responsibilities

• Concessionaire oversight and relationship management.
• Maintenance of concession database and contract register.
• Identifying and implementing new products and concessions in order to maximise commercial revenues.
• Ownership of concession contracts.
• Leading the tender process for new concessions.
• Monthly commercial income reporting and insights for submission to the RCA senior leadership Executive team.
• Advising on capital projects relating to commercial opportunities.
• Supporting the RCA finance team with commercial revenue forecasting and business planning.
