Sadleirs Global Logistics manages complex supply chains across a wide range of industries, providing tailored freight forwarding solutions to Australian and international clients.
Our experienced team includes in-house customs brokers and specialist operators, supporting everything from routine freight movements through to project cargo, breakbulk, OOG freight, dangerous goods, perishable cargo, cross-trade movements, and time-critical shipments.

The role: Business Development Executive
We're looking for someone who enjoys building genuine relationships, understanding customer challenges, and creating solutions that deliver real value. Success in this role comes from credibility, consistency, and a genuine desire to help customers achieve their goals.
As our Business Development Executive, you'll drive growth across our freight forwarding business by strategically targeting new opportunities to expand our customer base throughout WA.
You'll have the support of an experienced operational team behind you, allowing you to focus on what you do best – open doors, build relationships, and turn opportunities into long-term partnerships.
As Our Business Development Executive, You Will
- Build and manage a structured sales pipeline that supports sustainable growth
- Identify, pursue and secure new business opportunities aligned with SGL's service offering
- Make and attend organised meetings and perform cold calls in local industrial area to generate new business
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing customers
- Lead customer meetings, presentations and commercial discussions
- Prepare proposals, quotations, and assist in tender submissions
- Manage the onboarding of new customers and facilitate a smooth transition into SGL services
- Work closely with operations and internal stakeholders to ensure customer expectations are met
- Maintain accurate pipeline reporting and sales activity records
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities
- Represent SGL professionally and strengthen our reputation within the market

Skills & Experience Essential
- Minimum three years' experience in a corporate business development or a B2B sales role
- Proven ability to generate new business opportunities and achieve sales targets
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage a sales pipeline and prioritise activities effectively
- Strong commercial awareness and customer focus
- Excellent written skills and attention to detail.
- Current Australian Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle
- Full working rights within Australia
Highly Regarded
- Experience within freight forwarding, logistics, transport, or supply chain environments
