Mission of the Role:

  • We are seeking the experienced Technical Sales & Specification role for the Construction Segment to support the development of our presence in the building envelope and roofing membrane markets;
  • This role combines technical expertise in building physics with commercial capabilities, enabling the successful candidate to work with architects, designers, contractors, and distributors while promoting the branded product solutions for roofing and building envelope applications;

The position requires the ability to explain the role of membranes within the building envelope, including moisture management, vapor permeability, and long-term durability, while also driving sales and supporting specification in construction projects;


Key Accountabilities:

  • Technical sales development:
  • Develop and expand sales opportunities for the branded construction membranes;
  • Work with distributors, contractors, and construction material suppliers;
  • Identify projects where the branded product solutions can be integrated into the building envelope;


  • Architectural specifications:
  • Promote the branded product solutions to architects, designers, and specification consultants;
  • Support the inclusion of the branded product membranes in project specifications;
  • Provide technical guidance related to membrane selection and system integration;
  • Building physics & technical support
  • Explain the role of membranes within the building envelope from a building physics perspective;
  • Support discussions regarding:
  • vapor permeability and diffusion
  • moisture management
  • wind and water protection
  • durability of construction membranes


  • Market development
  • identify opportunities in residential, commercial, and industrial construction;
  • Monitor trends in building envelope design and membrane technologies;
  • Provide feedback to internal teams regarding market requirements and technical expectations;


  • Customer engagement
  • Conduct technical presentations and product training for architects, contractors, and distributors;
  • Participate in project meetings and technical consultations;
  • Support product trials and evaluations on construction projects;



Technical Knowledge and Skills:

  • Minimum 5+ years experience in construction materials, building envelope systems, or technical membranes;
  • Strong understanding of building physics related to the building envelope;
  • Experience working with:
  • architects
  • building designers
  • contractors
  • construction distributors
  • Ability to combine technical consulting with commercial sales activities;
  • Fluent in English; French/German/Spanish would be plus;


Preferred qualifications

Background in:

architecture

civil engineering

building physics

construction engineering

Experience with roofing membranes, breathable membranes, or building envelope materials;

Experience with architectural specification processes;

Knowledge of construction standards and building performance requirements;
