About The Role
Lead and oversee all business operations, drive market growth, and ensure organizational excellence in Uzbekistan. Managing cross-functional teams, ensuring compliance with local regulations, optimizing operational efficiency, and representing the organization with internal and external stakeholders. While the primary focus is on operational leadership and strategic execution, the role will also contribute to business development efforts to support long-term growth. The incumbent will role model the SJ Group values, ethics and code of conduct and ensure all business activities are carried out in accordance with these guiding principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership & Operations
- Monitor business performance through KPIs and ensure operational efficiency, quality delivery, and profitability.
- Develop and execute the country strategy aligned with global objectives and local market dynamics.
- Provide leadership and direction to country teams across different functions.

- Financial Management
- Coordinate with the finance team to provide transparent and timely reporting to headquarters.
- Own the country budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes.
- Ensure financial discipline, cost optimization, and adherence to compliance standards.

- Business Development & Market Expansion
- Support strategic business development initiatives in collaboration with the BD team.
- Identify and evaluate new market opportunities, partnerships, and client segments.
- Maintain a strong network of industry contacts and represent the company at key local events.
- Contribute to proposals, bids, and client presentations where applicable.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Economics, or related field (MBA preferred).
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in Uzbek, English and Russian both written and spoken.
- Strong understanding of the local regulatory, economic, and cultural landscape.
