Business Development Manager

Electroswitch is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive strategic growth within the utility, power infrastructure, and data center markets.

This is a highly visible role focused on developing new business, building long-term customer relationships, and expanding our presence with utilities, EPC firms, OEMs, engineering consultants, and key accounts across North America.

What You'll Do

• Develop and execute business development strategies to expand market share within the utility and power infrastructure industries.

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities with investor-owned utilities (IOUs), engineering firms, EPCs, OEMs, and strategic end users.

• Build relationships with consulting engineers, utilities, data center developers, and electrical contractors to generate new opportunities.

• Drive specification-driven sales by influencing projects early in the design process.

• Lead complex sales opportunities from prospecting through proposal development, negotiation, and contract award.

• Collaborate with engineering, product management, and sales leadership to develop customer-focused solutions.

• Represent Electroswitch at customer meetings, industry events, and trade shows.

What We're Looking For

• Proven success in business development within the electrical power, utility, or critical power industries.

• Experience selling technical products or solutions into utility, industrial, OEM, EPC, or consulting engineering markets.

• Existing relationships within the utility, data center power, switchgear, protection, control, or electrical infrastructure industries are highly desirable.

• Strong hunter mentality with a demonstrated ability to develop new business opportunities.

• Experience managing long sales cycles and specification-driven opportunities.

• Excellent presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent industry experience.
