Business Development Manager

Ambition are delighted to be working with a global law firm on a brand new role to bring someone into their BD function to work as part of the global litigation function. This role will work closely with a senior BD professional in New York and work across the commercial litigation area, focusing on working with US lawyers whilst also being part of a joined up global team, giving you the opportunity to interact with counterparts across the EMEA region too.

The firm are on a very exciting growth trajectory here in the US with plans for continued investment into the firms and business services function, making it a great time to join the firm and be part of this journey.

We would very much like to engage individuals who are looking for their first step into a managerial role or those who might be interested in making a lateral move to a global firm.

Responsibilities include:

• Working with the senior litigation BD professional and the litigation leadership team, help implement the marketing and business development plans for the group.
• Be proactive in spotting industry trends and opportunities in the US market, playing a part to help advise on potential new business opportunities for the firm.
• Help to raise the brand profile in specific markets both in the US and globally, working with centralized functions such as the client relationship and communications team on specific projects.
• Identify opportunities for thought leadership content for the litigation group.
• Support the key client development and relationship program for the litigation function.

It is also worth noting that the firm does operate on a flexible in office mandate with 3 days in office required.
