Marginpar, a global floriculture leader, seeks an experienced General Manager to lead large-scale operations across Kenya. In this pivotal role, you drive operational excellence, people development and sustainable growth while working closely with the Group CEO and international leadership teams.
What are you going to do?
As General Manager Kenya, you take full responsibility for leading Marginpar's Kenyan operations across multiple farms. You translate business strategy into operational execution, driving productivity, quality and continuous improvement while developing leadership capabilities and fostering a strong organizational culture.
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the complete Kenyan operation including multiple farms and diverse teams
- Translate business strategy into operational execution and drive productivity improvements
- Manage financial performance, budgeting and key performance indicators
- Develop leadership capabilities and strengthen organizational culture across the operation
- Ensure high standards in sustainability, compliance and safety across all facilities
- Build and maintain relationships with local stakeholders, authorities and communities
- Support long-term operational and organizational development initiatives

Job requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Agribusiness or related field
- MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is an added advantage; this also applies to relevant professional certifications in operations, finance, leadership, or sustainability
- Minimum 10 years senior management experience in agribusiness, horticulture, food or manufacturing
- Proven track record managing large workforce organizations with complex operations
- Strong financial and operational management skills with demonstrated budget responsibility
- Experience implementing change management and continuous improvement initiatives
- Familiarity with East African business environments and regulatory landscapes
- Fluency in English with strong written and verbal communication abilities
