Role Description The Business Development role at Emerald Wings Hospice is a full-time, on-site position based in St Paul, MN. This role is responsible for identifying and cultivating referral sources, including hospitals, clinics, long-term care facilities, and community organizations. Day-to-day tasks include conducting market research, generating leads, maintaining relationships with partners, and presenting hospice services to prospective clients and referral networks. The role also involves tracking outreach activities, analyzing local market trends, collaborating with clinical and administrative teams to align services with community needs, and participating in events or meetings to strengthen the organization’s presence in the region. The Business Development professional is expected to represent Emerald Wings Hospice with integrity and sensitivity, ensuring that outreach efforts reflect the values of compassionate care.
Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess strong Communication and Customer Service skills to build trust with referral sources, patients, and families.
  • Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills and Market Research capabilities to understand local healthcare trends and identify growth opportunities.
  • Candidates should possess effective Lead Generation skills to develop and maintain a pipeline of new business and referral relationships.
  • Relevant experience in healthcare, hospice, home health, or related services is beneficial.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and community partners.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with proficiency in CRM or similar tracking tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally for meetings, visits, and events.
