Who We Are

At Mindsherpa, we are redefining workplace wellness across North America. We bridge the critical gap between early stress detection and crisis prevention by combining cutting-edge neuroscience with accessible mindfulness, AI coaching, and spiritual care frameworks. Our mobile-first, privacy-protected platform helps mid-sized organizations and high-stress frontline environments (like healthcare hospital networks) proactively reduce burnout before it impacts employee wellbeing, drives up insurance claims, or hits the bottom line.

General Description

We're looking for an ambitious, commercially driven Business Development Manager to accelerate growth for our SaaS platform. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on building new relationships, uncovering opportunities, navigating complex sales cycles, and winning business in a competitive market.

As one of the primary faces of our organization, you'll partner with prospective customers to understand their strategic priorities, demonstrate business value, and guide them from initial conversations through contract execution. You'll work closely with our internal team (Marketing, Product, and Leadership) to ensure every opportunity receives the right level of attention and expertise.

This is a high-impact role requiring curiosity, resilience, business acumen, and the ability to build trusted executive relationships. The successful candidate is energized by challenging goals, enjoys creating opportunities where none previously existed, and is motivated by measurable results.

What You'll Do

Business Development

  • Identify, prospect, and qualify new business opportunities across target markets.
  • Develop and execute territory and account strategies that consistently generate qualified pipeline.
  • Build relationships with executive decision-makers and key influencers.
  • Lead discovery conversations to uncover business challenges and desired outcomes.
  • Position our SaaS platform as a strategic solution rather than simply a software purchase.

Sales Process Management

  • Own opportunities from initial outreach through contract negotiation and close.
  • Develop compelling business cases and ROI discussions that resonate with executive buyers.
  • Coordinate demonstrations, technical resources, pilots, and proof-of-concept activities.
  • Maintain accurate opportunity forecasts and pipeline management within CRM.
  • Consistently achieve or exceed revenue and activity targets.

Customer & Market Intelligence

  • Stay current on industry trends, customer priorities, and competitive solutions.
  • Provide valuable market feedback to Product Management and Leadership.
  • Identify expansion opportunities within existing customer accounts.

Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Marketing on lead generation campaigns.
  • Work to ensure smooth customer transitions after sale.
  • Collaborate with Product team to align customer expectations and solution capabilities.
  • Share best practices and contribute to continuous improvement of sales processes.

Success Factors

The Ideal Candidate Is

  • Highly competitive and motivated by achieving ambitious goals.
  • Comfortable initiating conversations with senior executives.
  • Naturally persuasive and confident presenting ideas.
  • Curious and consultative rather than transactional.
  • Resilient when facing objections and setbacks.
  • Adaptable and energized by a fast-changing environment.
  • Accountable for results and proactive in solving problems.
  • Organized enough to effectively manage a large sales pipeline.
  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating across teams.
  • Passionate about helping customers solve meaningful business challenges.

Qualifications

Required

  • 2-5 years of successful B2B SaaS sales or business development experience.
  • Demonstrated success selling complex solutions to mid-market or enterprise organizations.
  • Experience managing consultative sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong executive communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar.
  • Excellent negotiation and closing skills.
  • Proven history of meeting or exceeding sales quotas.

Preferred

  • Experience selling HR Technology, AI, Healthcare Technology, Enterprise Software, or other subscription-based solutions.
  • Experience selling into C-suite executives.
  • Familiarity with value-based or consultative selling methodologies (MEDDICC, Challenger, SPIN, Sandler, Command of the Message, etc.).
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related discipline.

What Success Looks Like

Within Your First Year You Will Have

  • Developed a healthy and predictable sales pipeline.
  • Established trusted relationships with key prospects and customers.
  • Consistently achieved revenue and pipeline objectives.
  • Become a trusted advisor capable of leading executive-level business conversations.
  • Contributed meaningful market insights that influence product and commercial strategy.
  • Built strong internal relationships across Marketing, Product, Customer Success, and Leadership.
