Business Development Specialist

Robert Half is seeking a Business Development Specialist to join our Finance & Accounting practice in the Lehi or Greater Salt Lake City area. This role is perfect for finance or accounting professionals who enjoy people-facing work and are ready to transition into a consultative, sales-driven role—while still leveraging their technical expertise.

This position specializes in placing contract and contract-to-hire finance and accounting professionals, partnering closely with local companies to deliver agile, high‑quality talent solutions

What You’ll

• Do Business Development & Client Partnerships
• Build and expand relationships with CFOs, Controllers, Finance Directors, and hiring leaders across the Utah market
• Proactively conduct outreach to develop new business and grow your client portfolio
• Meet with clients to understand hiring needs, project requirements, culture, and budget
• Consult on contract and contract‑to‑hire staffing strategies to support business goals
• Manage the full sales cycle—from prospecting to placement completion.

Market Expertise

• Provide insights into hiring trends, compensation benchmarks, and talent availability in Utah’s finance market
• Build a strong presence in the local finance community through events and networking

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree. (Preferred: Accounting, Finance, Economics)
• Experience in accounting, financial analysis, audit, FP&A, or corporate finance
• Excellent relationship‑building and communication skills
• Competitive, motivated, and energized by sales and results
• Currently resides in the Greater Salt Lake City or Lehi area and able to work in‑office 3 days/week
