We are seeking a Commercial & Growth Lead who will lead this growth by driving revenue, securing new business opportunities, and maximizing the commercial value of every client relationship.
Role Summary
The Commercial & Growth Lead is responsible for leading Bridgemead's commercial growth agenda.
The role exists to generate sustainable revenue by acquiring new clients, expanding existing accounts, building strategic partnerships, strengthening market visibility, and driving commercial excellence across the firm's recruitment and advisory services.
Although new business acquisition is the primary responsibility, the Commercial & Growth Lead is also responsible for ensuring every client relationship creates opportunities for deeper commercial engagement through advisory, executive search, organisational development, leadership solutions, and other value-added services.
The Commercial & Growth Lead serves as the bridge between market opportunities and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Commercial Growth & Client Acquisition
- Develop and execute Bridgemead's commercial growth strategy.
- Drive consistent acquisition of new clients across the firm's priority sectors.
- Build and maintain a healthy commercial pipeline.
- Identify high-value prospects through strategic market research.
- Lead the end-to-end sales process from prospecting through proposal, negotiation, and closing.
- Achieve agreed revenue and client acquisition targets.
2. Strategic Relationship Management
- Build trusted relationships with CEOs, Managing Directors, HR Directors, COOs, CFOs, and other senior decision-makers.
- Conduct discovery meetings to understand client business challenges before recommending solutions.
- Position Bridgemead as a long-term strategic partner rather than a transactional recruitment provider.
- Maintain regular engagement with existing clients to identify new opportunities.
3. Account Growth & Advisory Expansion
- Grow revenue from existing clients through cross-selling and upselling.
- Identify opportunities to introduce advisory services into recruitment relationships and vice versa.
- Increase client lifetime value through long-term partnerships.
- Collaborate with consulting teams to ensure excellent client delivery.
4. Commercial Strategy
- Monitor market trends and emerging opportunities.
- Analyse competitor activity and recommend strategic responses.
- Support the development of new service offerings.
- Provide commercial insights to the Managing Director to support strategic decision-making.
- Recommend pricing and commercial approaches that balance competitiveness and profitability.
5. Market Development & Brand Visibility
- Increase Bridgemead's visibility across target industries.
- Represent the firm at conferences, executive forums, networking events, and industry engagements.
- Support thought leadership initiatives through sector reports, executive roundtables, articles, webinars, and LinkedIn engagement.
- Build relationships with industry associations and strategic partners that create commercial opportunities.
6. Proposal Development & Deal Negotiation
- Lead proposal development for recruitment and advisory engagements.
- Prepare compelling commercial presentations and capability statements.
- Negotiate commercial terms with prospective clients.
- Ensure smooth transition from business development to service delivery.
7. Commercial Operations
- Maintain an accurate CRM and commercial pipeline.
- Develop revenue forecasts and pipeline reports.
- Track commercial performance and report on key metrics.
- Ensure timely follow-up of all prospects and opportunities.
- Recommend improvements to commercial processes and systems.

Experience
- experience in Business Development, Client Relationship Management, or Consulting
- worked in a consulting firm
- Demonstrated success acquiring and managing B2B clients.
- Experience selling professional services, consulting, HR solutions, or business advisory services is highly desirable.
