Business Development Manager (Ireland) - Salesforce Consulting Partner Experience Required
Location: Ireland-based, remote-first (occasional client travel across Ireland and EMEA; daily collaboration with US team)
Compensation: Competitive base + bonus | Clear growth path
About the role
Join our high-impact, customer-obsessed CRO team to help grow strategic accounts and create new revenue opportunities across Ireland and the wider EMEA region. This is a commercially focused, relationship-led Business Development Manager role for someone who is confident with clients, sharp in opportunity development, and experienced in working within a Salesforce consulting partner environment.
A core requirement for this role is that you have previously worked for a consulting partner that implements Salesforce. You will understand how consulting-led sales cycles work, how to qualify and shape services opportunities, and how to work closely with technical delivery teams to move deals forward.
This is not a pure new-logo hunter role with an aggressive quota. It is a high-visibility position for someone who knows how to build trust, spot opportunities, and progress deals in a structured way within a Salesforce implementation or consulting context.
You will take opportunities through discovery and commercial progression, then partner closely with technical colleagues on solution fit, scope, and proposals. You will also represent the business in client conversations across Ireland and EMEA, maintain strong CRM discipline, and help turn relationships into long-term revenue.
What you'll do
- Own and grow a defined portfolio of accounts, building trusted relationships, mapping stakeholders, and maintaining a consistent cadence of value-led engagement.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within existing and prospective client organisations, with a focus on consulting and Salesforce-related service engagements.
- Lead commercial conversations through discovery, qualification, stakeholder alignment, and next-step management.
- Progress opportunities to late stage, then work closely with technical and solution teams on scope validation, proposal development, and deal execution.
- Partner closely with Solutions and delivery teams, balancing relationship ownership and commercial momentum with technical credibility and implementation fit.
- Represent the business confidently in client-facing settings, including occasional on-site meetings and events across Ireland and EMEA.
- Work effectively across time zones, collaborating day to day with colleagues in the US and flexing for morning or early-evening calls where needed.
- Maintain accurate forecasting and pipeline discipline in Salesforce, ensuring opportunities, risks, activity, and next steps are always current.
- Drive land-and-expand growth, spotting follow-on opportunities and building multi-threaded relationships across client organisations.
- Execute the fundamentals consistently, including clear notes, follow-ups, actions, and strong meeting hygiene.
What you'll bring
- 3-5 years of experience in business development, account management, partnerships, or consultative sales in a customer-facing commercial role.
- Must-have: prior experience working for a consulting partner that implements Salesforce. This is essential.
- Strong practical Salesforce experience, including pipeline management, opportunity tracking, forecasting, reporting, and CRM hygiene.
- A solid understanding of consulting-led sales cycles, especially where commercial, technical, and delivery teams work together to shape implementation opportunities.
- Confidence in discovery and commercial conversations, with the ability to move opportunities forward without needing to lead deep technical solution design yourself.
- Executive presence and strong relationship-building skills, with credibility when engaging senior stakeholders.
- A fast-learning, adaptable mindset, with the ability to absorb feedback and operate effectively in a growing team.
- Strong organisation and accountability, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities and accounts in a remote-first environment.
- Bonus: an existing network relevant to Salesforce, digital transformation, or consulting services.
