Role Description The Business Development Manager is a full-time, hybrid role based in West Palm Beach, FL, with flexibility for some work from home. This role is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and increasing revenue across household, military, and commercial moving services. Day-to-day activities include prospecting and qualifying leads, conducting sales presentations, preparing proposals, and negotiating contracts in alignment with company pricing and service standards. The Business Development Manager collaborates closely with operations, customer service, and marketing teams to ensure a smooth transition from sales to service delivery and maintain high customer satisfaction. The role also involves tracking sales performance, analyzing market trends, preparing reports, and representing BMS Moving & Storage at industry events, networking functions, and community engagements.
Qualifications
- Strong business development and sales skills, including prospecting, lead qualification, relationship building, and contract negotiation.
- Experience in account management and customer success, with the ability to maintain long-term client relationships and ensure repeat business.
- Knowledge of commercial services, logistics, or moving and storage operations, or related industry experience is highly beneficial.
- Competence in market research, pipeline management, and the use of CRM and sales reporting tools to track and analyze performance.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities, including prioritization of multiple opportunities and meeting deadlines.
- Proven ability to work in a hybrid environment, independently and on-site, with a high level of professionalism and integrity.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience in business development or sales will be considered.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally for client meetings, site visits, and networking events as needed.
