LACOSTA is seeking a driven, organized, and commercially minded Business Development Representative to identify, develop, advance, and close profitable new business opportunities.
This is a full-cycle business development position. The Business Development Representative will prospect for new customers, conduct discovery, coordinate site assessments, support solution and pricing development, manage proposals and negotiations, and guide awarded business through contract execution and operational handoff.
The Business Development Representative serves as the commercial owner of assigned opportunities. Operations may assist with validation of service delivery, Sales Administration may prepare and package documents, and leadership may approve pricing or contractual exceptions. The Business Development Representative remains accountable for customer progression, Salesforce accuracy, scope validation proposal coordination, pricing continuity, commercial terms, and final handoff.
Qualifications
Required
- At least one year of experience in business development, sales development, inside sales, outside sales, account development, or a comparable customer-facing role.
- Demonstrated experience with outbound prospecting, including cold calling and email outreach.
- Strong business and sales acumen, including the ability to identify customer needs, qualify opportunities, and advance a structured sales process.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organization, time management, project coordination, and follow-up skills.
- Ability to manage multiple opportunities, proposals, customer relationships, deadlines, and internal contributors simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to CRM accuracy.
- High level of accountability, persistence, resilience, and professional judgment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- Ability to travel for customer meetings, presentations, site assessments, and bid walks.
Preferred
- Experience using Salesforce or another customer relationship management platform.
- Experience in facility services, janitorial services, managed labor, staffing, manufacturing, warehousing, industrial services, or another business-to-business service industry.
- Experience coordinating RFPs, RFIs, proposals, pricing submissions, presentations, statements of work, or customer agreements.
- Experience using sales-intelligence, prospecting, marketing-automation, or email-sequencing platforms.
- Experience participating in customer site visits, facility tours, bid walks, and operational handoffs.
- Bilingual English and Spanish communication skills.
