About the Role


We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Area Sales Manager to drive business growth, expand market share, and strengthen customer relationships within the assigned territory. The successful candidate will develop strategic partnerships with customers, dealers, channel partners, and industry stakeholders while delivering a consultative, value-based sales approach

.This role requires a strong commercial mindset, excellent relationship-building skills, and the ability to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities in a competitive market


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, dealers, channel partners, OEMs, and key industry stakeholders.
  • Drive market share growth through proactive business development, customer acquisition, and customer retention activities.
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new sales opportunities within targeted market segments.
  • Deliver a consultative and value-focused sales approach by understanding customer needs and presenting tailored solutions.
  • Promote the technical, operational, aftermarket, and total cost of ownership benefits of products and services.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams including Marketing, Engineering, Customer Support, and Aftermarket to provide exceptional customer experiences.
  • Plan and execute customer engagement initiatives, business development programs, and account growth strategies.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, including senior leadership and executive-level stakeholders.
  • Conduct product presentations, sales training sessions, and customer education programs as required.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, customer meetings, and professional associations.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to identify growth opportunities.
  • Utilize CRM and sales management tools to maintain accurate customer records, manage opportunities, forecast sales, and track performance.
  • Prepare regular reports and provide updates on business activities, opportunities, and sales performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 3 years' relevant industry experience, or
  • Associate Degree (or equivalent qualification) with a minimum of 5 years' relevant industry experience.
  • Demonstrated success in sales, business development, account management, or market expansion.
  • Experience working directly with customers, channel partners, distributors, or dealers.
  • Ability to effectively present both technical and commercial business solutions.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in B2B sales, commercial vehicles, automotive, industrial equipment, manufacturing, components, or related industries.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Experience with value-based or consultative selling methodologies.
  • Preferred experience working with Salesforce CRM.
  • Experience managing multiple customer accounts and complex sales opportunities.

  • Responsible for driving sales and business development activities within the assigned geographic area.
  • Accountable for customer engagement, channel partner development, and market expansion across the territory.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve annual business objectives and growth targets.

Travel Requirements

This position requires regular travel to support customer engagement and business development activities:

  • Approximately 2–3 days per week within the assigned territory.
  • Approximately 3–4 days per quarter outside the assigned territory for meetings, training, or regional business activities.
