Business Development & Community Outreach Coordinator

Angels My Way Home Care | Oakville, ON

Location: Field-Based (Covering Halton, Hamilton, and Peel Regions, ON)

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

About Us

At Angels My Way Home Care, trust comes first. We are committed to delivering compassionate, dependable, and high-quality care to seniors, individuals with disabilities, and autistic children in our community. We are a growing, dynamic agency looking for a driven professional who shares our commitment to excellence and wants to make a meaningful impact on families seeking top-tier, long-term care.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a relationship-focused Business Development & Community Outreach Coordinator to expand our referral network and directly drive client acquisition across the Halton-Hamilton-Peel region.

This is not a passive “community engagement” role, nor is it a strategic desk role. It is a proactive, hands-on growth position ideal for a professional who combines natural relationship-building skills with business development discipline. You will spend 3 to 4 days a week in the field opening doors, building trust with healthcare coordinators, and asking for the business, while dedicating the remaining time to CRM management, follow-ups, and lead nurturing.

If you are energized by a stable base salary combined with achievable, uncapped commission upside, we want you on our team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Targeted Field Outreach: Build and maintain a robust database of local partners. Conduct proactive outreach to hospitals, retirement homes, and community centres through in-person visits, calls, and presentations.
  • Relationship Management: Foster trust-based referral partnerships with discharge planners, care coordinators, wellness managers, and social workers.
  • Pipeline Generation & Conversion: Generate qualified leads and strategically guide the transition of new clients into our care, with a focus on long-term, high-hour cases.
  • Campaign Execution: Develop and execute multi-channel outreach campaigns (phone, email, and drip sequences) for professional partners and community contacts.
  • CRM Discipline: Meticulously track all outreach activity, referral relationships, lead statuses, and conversion progress in our CRM system.
  • Brand Ambassadorship: Represent Angels My Way Home Care professionally at local health fairs, senior expos, and networking groups to elevate brand visibility.
  • Reputation Growth: Support the collection of client and family reviews to strengthen local trust and online visibility.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: 3 to 7 years of proven success in business development, community outreach, healthcare marketing, retirement living, or a related relationship-driven field.
  • Healthcare Fluency: A solid understanding of the home care, senior care, and localized referral environments. (Familiarity with Ontario Health at Home and private-pay home care services is a strong asset).
  • Communication Style: Exceptional in-person presence. You must be comfortable walking into facilities cold, initiating conversations with healthcare professionals, handling objections, and closing for referrals.
  • Independent Discipline: Highly organized with a proven ability to manage a territory, utilize CRM software efficiently, and maintain consistent follow-up habits.
  • Scheduling Flexibility: Willingness to accommodate occasional flexible hours, including evenings or weekends, for specific health fairs or community events.

Mandatory Requirements

Must possess a valid Ontario ‘G' driver's licence and have daily access to a reliable, insured personal vehicle for field outreach (Halton, Hamilton, Peel).

Must be able to provide a clear, recent Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS) / Criminal Record Check.

Compensation Structure & Perks

We believe in rewarding measurable performance. This role offers financial stability paired with an aggressive upside for top producers.

  • Base Salary: $46,000 - $50,000 annually (commensurate with experience).
  • Uncapped Tiered Commission: Highly competitive, performance-based commission structure tied directly to the monthly care hours optimized within your territory.
  • Retention Incentives: Additional financial bonuses awarded for successfully converting and maintaining long-term client care contracts.
  • Travel Allowance: Comprehensive, non-taxable mileage reimbursement for all field-based outreach.
  • Career Growth: Clear pathways to advance into a senior outreach or territory leadership role as our agency scales.

Important Application Notes

  • How to Apply: Please submit your resume and a brief cover letter outlining your direct experience in business development, healthcare outreach, community partnerships, or senior services.
  • Submission Notice: Resume submissions missing the relevant minimum experience will be automatically rejected by our system.
