Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales
- Identify, target, and acquire new clients in engineering sectors like automotive, aerospace, defense, IT, medical, electronics, industrial engineering or emerging sectors.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline (prospecting, lead generation, qualification).
- Conduct client meetings, presentations, and negotiations.
- Prepare and deliver commercial proposals, RFQs, and tenders.
- Develop long-term relationships with existing clients.
- Act as the main point of contact with key customers.
- Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
- Ensure high customer satisfaction and retention.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity.
- Identify new business opportunities and emerging sectors.
- Provide insights to management for strategic planning.
- Work closely with engineering, delivery, and project teams.
- Align customer requirements with technical capabilities.
- Support contract negotiations and project kick-offs.
- Track sales KPIs and pipeline progress.
- Maintain CRM systems with accurate client data.
- Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for the management team.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, Engineering, or related field.
- 3–7+ years in sales/business development (preferably in engineering services, automotive, or industrial environment), with good networking in Transylvania area.
- Proven track record in B2B sales and clients’ acquisition.
- Strong sales, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Customer-focused mindset and proactive and self-motivated.
- Ability to understand technical concepts and engineering services.
- Excellent relationship-building and networking abilities.
- Strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset and strong commercial awareness.
- Fluent in English (German/ French is a strong advantage for Bertrandt environment).
- CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar).
- MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
