Business Development Manager

We are working with an established general contractor that is looking to hire a Business Development Manager to support its continued growth.

This individual will be responsible for developing new client relationships, identifying project opportunities, strengthening existing partnerships, and expanding the company’s presence within the local construction market.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new construction opportunities across targeted market sectors.
• Build relationships with developers, owners, architects, engineers, brokers, and industry partners.
• Maintain and grow existing client relationships to generate repeat business.
• Track upcoming projects, market activity, and competitor developments.
• Attend networking events, industry meetings, conferences, and client presentations.
• Work closely with estimating, preconstruction, and operations teams throughout the pursuit process.
• Support proposals, presentations, qualifications packages, and client interviews.
• Maintain an accurate pipeline of prospective clients and active opportunities.
• Assist in developing and executing the company’s overall growth strategy.
• Represent the company professionally throughout the construction and real estate community.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of business development, sales, preconstruction, or client relationship experience within the construction industry.
• Established relationships within the local development, architecture, engineering, or commercial real estate community preferred.
• Strong understanding of the general contracting and construction project lifecycle.
• Excellent communication, presentation, networking, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to identify opportunities and manage pursuits from initial contact through contract award.
• Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
