About the Company

Onerway is a fast-scaling, cross-border payment service provider (PSP) helping merchants process card and alternative payments globally. This is a rare opportunity to shape the foundation of a next-generation payments business at a critical inflection point. We are looking for a driven and results-oriented Partnerships Manager to support our APAC expansion. As part of the commercial team, you will be responsible for building, managing, and expanding strategic partner relationships across multiple markets. The ideal candidate is a strong relationship builder with solid commercial acumen, who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic, and entrepreneurial environment.

Responsibilities

  • Drive new business acquisition by identifying, prospecting, and converting high-value merchants across Onerway’s key target markets and industry verticals.
  • Own the full sales cycle from lead generation, outreach, discovery, pitching, solution design, commercial negotiation, onboarding, to integration and go-live.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities through market research, outbound prospecting, industry networking, partner referrals, and commercial intelligence.
  • Understand client business models, payment needs, market expansion plans, and operational pain points to position Onerway’s payment solutions effectively.
  • Work closely with internal teams, including Product, Compliance, Legal, Operations, Finance, and Partnerships, to structure tailored solutions that meet client requirements.
  • Prepare commercial proposals, pricing structures, business cases, and sales materials to support client acquisition and deal conversion.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline updates, sales forecasts, and client activity records to support business planning and revenue visibility.
  • Represent Onerway at industry events, conferences, and networking forums to generate leads, build market presence, and strengthen brand visibility.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience, ideally in fintech, payments, financial services, technology, or a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Prior experience in a commercial role such as Business Development, Sales, Account Management, Partnerships, or Client Success, with exposure to managing mid-sized to large clients.
  • Existing network of digital merchants, such as e-commerce, gaming, entertainment, or other online businesses, or financial institutions such as remittance companies, fintech startups, PSPs, and other payment-related companies, would be a plus.
  • Strong commercial sense, with the ability to understand client business models, payment needs, revenue opportunities, pricing structures, and deal economics.
  • Strong interest in payments and fintech, with the willingness to invest time in building deep knowledge of payment products, local payment methods, integration flows, settlement structures, FX, payouts, partner ecosystems, compliance requirements, and market practices, in order to support client solutioning and commercial discussions.
  • Self-driven and resourceful, with a strong learning mindset and the ability to independently pick up new industry knowledge, technical concepts, and market developments.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills, with the ability to engage clients, build trust, and work effectively with internal stakeholders.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and able to work autonomously in a fast-moving, high-growth environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin.
  • Willingness to travel based on business requirements.
