We are looking for a Business Development Manager (Storage Solutions) for our international IT distributor client.
In this role, you will play a key part in expanding the company´s NetApp business by identifying new partners, developing the channel network, and driving new business opportunities across the Hungarian market.
Tasks:
- Acquire new NetApp partners through proactive outreach—via phone, email, and in-person meetings—to expand market presence.
- Demonstrate strong expertise in NetApp solutions and vendor portfolio, confidently positioning and communicating their value to partners and their end-users
- Confidently lead business discussions, delivering presentations about NetApp opportunities or partners’ pain points, ensuring clear and solution-oriented communication.
- Constructive solution proposals based on identified issues or gaps, using NetApp unique selling points
- Manage and optimize contractual relationships with NetApp
- Manage day-to-day client communication and ongoing relationships as it relates to current, new and upcoming projects
- Visit IT Reseller Partners and/or their customers, attend trade shows and other industry events to capitalize on networking and relationship-building opportunities
- Support marketing communications, promotional and go-to-market activities
- Promote and sell services proactively, generating new opportunities, supporting projects, and managing them through successful delivery.
- Familiarity with sales processes as operational tasks & partner management is part of the role.
- Contribute actively to achieving sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Requirements:
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in IT sales or business development.
- Strong knowledge of the Hungarian IT market with a proven track record in developing new business opportunities.
- Experience in partner acquisition and channel development.
- Experience in the storage market (e.g. NetApp, Dell, HPE, Huawei, Hitachi) is an advantage.
- Ability to quickly understand partners´ business challenges and identify business opportunities.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- Fluency in English and native-level Hungarian to collaborate with local channel partners and international stakeholders.
