Overview

Our customer, a leading provider of turnkey communications and electrical infrastructure solutions, is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive regional growth and expand client relationships across key infrastructure markets.


This role is focused on identifying new opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and expanding presence in sectors including ISP, data centers, telecom, utilities, renewable energy, and EV infrastructure.

  • Key Responsibilities
  • Lead business development initiatives within infrastructure and construction markets
  • Identify and pursue new project opportunities across telecom, ISP, utilities, data centers, renewable energy, solar, EV charging, and municipal sectors
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, contractors, and industry partners
  • Understand client needs and deliver tailored infrastructure solutions
  • Develop and execute regional sales strategies aligned with organisational goals
  • Collaborate with internal teams including estimating, project management, and marketing
  • Prepare proposals, support contract negotiations, and manage deal lifecycle
  • Maintain accurate sales pipeline and forecasting data within CRM systems
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and pricing strategies
  • Address client concerns professionally and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Travel as required to support business development efforts (~50%)
  • All other duties as assigned


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in construction or infrastructure sales
  • Proven experience in business development within competitive markets
  • Background in telecom, ISP, utility, or infrastructure environments
  • Strong network within carriers, utilities, general contractors, or municipal agencies
  • Experience with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Quick Base)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Highly motivated with a results-driven mindset


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in data center or OSP (Outside Plant) business development
  • Exposure to energy infrastructure, renewable energy, or EV charging projects
  • Existing client relationships within ISP or data center ecosystems


Work Environment / Additional Information

Remote-based role with regional market focus

  • Travel approximately 50%
  • Full-time schedule, Monday to Friday, with additional hours as needed


Compensation

Base salary range: $100,000 – $125,000+ Negotiable/DOE (can increase depending on experience)

  • Additional commission-based incentives
