About the Role

The Strategic Accounts Manager will be responsible for identifying, developing, and growing high-value customer relationships across the automotive industry.


This role is designed for a business development professional who can identify underserved markets, open doors with major automotive organizations, and create strategic partnerships that drive significant company growth.


The ideal candidate is a relationship-driven business developer who understands complex B2B sales cycles, can engage executive-level decision makers, and has experience creating new opportunities within the automotive ecosystem.


Success will be measured by strategic account acquisition, revenue growth, pipeline development, and expansion of key customer relationships.


What You’ll Do

  • Identify and pursue high-value opportunities with automotive dealer groups, distributors, fleet organizations, and commercial customers.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans for targeted growth opportunities.
  • Build relationships with executive decision makers, purchasing leaders, and operational stakeholders.
  • Lead customer discovery discussions to understand business needs and identify opportunities for partnership.
  • Develop proposals, business cases, and pilot programs to win new strategic customers.
  • Manage complex sales cycles from initial opportunity through contract, implementation, and account expansion.
  • Grow existing strategic relationships through proactive account management.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful customer onboarding, fulfillment, and ongoing support.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline visibility, opportunity tracking, and CRM records.
  • Provide market intelligence, competitive insights, and customer feedback to company leadership.
  • Represent Auto Mats & Accessories at industry events, customer meetings, and trade shows.


What You Bring

  • 7+ years of successful B2B sales, business development, or strategic account management experience.
  • Experience selling into automotive dealerships, dealer groups, distributors, fleets, or related industries.
  • Demonstrated success acquiring and growing large customer relationships.
  • Ability to manage complex sales processes involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong executive communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Self-directed with the ability to operate independently while collaborating with a growing organization.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25–50% for customer meetings and strategic opportunities


Required

  • Existing relationships with dealer groups, distributors, fleets, or automotive organizations.
  • Experience selling manufactured products, automotive accessories, or B2B solutions.
  • Experience managing enterprise or multi-location customer relationships.
