About The Role
The Regional Sales Manager for the Mid-Atlantic & Northeast is responsible for driving revenue growth across a multi-state territory. This role focuses on developing new business, expanding existing accounts, and positioning APCON solutions with clarity and confidence.
This is a high impact individual contributor role that requires someone who is self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently while managing a large territory and frequent travel.
Mid-Atlantic & Northeast Territory: PA, MD, DE, WV, VA, KY
Travel: Up to 75%
What You Will Do
- Develop and execute a territory strategy that aligns with APCON growth goals
- Identify, qualify, and close new enterprise and channel business opportunities
- Manage the full sales cycle including prospecting, discovery, demonstrations, proposals, negotiation, and close
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and technical decision makers
- Work with Sales Engineering to deliver effective demonstrations and solution designs
- Represent APCON at regional events, conferences, and trade shows
- Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasts, and sales documentation
- Partner with Marketing, Product, and Customer Support to ensure a positive customer experience
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Three or more years of outside sales experience selling technical hardware and software solutions to large enterprises
- Experience selling into data centers is highly preferred
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences
- Proven success meeting or exceeding sales quotas
- Highly self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM platforms
- Strong relationship building, presentation, and problem solving skills
- Valid driver license with an acceptable driving record
- Reliable personal transportation and valid automobile insurance
- Ability to travel frequently within the region, up to 75%
- Ability to travel by car and airplane
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, twist, reach, carry, lift, pull, and push between 1 and 15 pounds
- Ability to operate a computer, phone, and standard office equipment
- Ability to communicate clearly in person, by phone, and in writing
