About the Role

The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving new corporate partnerships, developing a strong pipeline of qualified business opportunities, and supporting overall revenue growth for the company’s events division. This role focuses on identifying, engaging, and securing new corporate accounts while nurturing long-term strategic relationships that contribute to sustained business expansion.

Working closely with the Director of Marketing and Growth and cross-functional teams, this position plays a key role in expanding the company’s corporate client base and positioning the organization as a preferred partner for high-value events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic business development plan focused on generating new corporate partnerships and expanding the company’s corporate events pipeline.
  • Identify, prospect, and secure new corporate clients through outreach, networking, referrals, and engagement across target markets
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key corporate decision-makers, ensuring repeat business and account growth.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Marketing and Growth to align business development initiatives with overall revenue goals and market strategy.
  • Create customized proposals and presentations tailored to corporate client needs and event objectives.
  • Lead initial client engagement and qualification process, ensuring a seamless transition from prospecting to sales closure and account management.
  • Work closely with culinary, operations, and production teams to ensure accurate execution of client expectations and event deliverables.
  • Attend key networking events, corporate functions, and trade shows to represent the company and generate new business opportunities.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to identify growth opportunities and maintain a competitive advantage.
  • Track pipeline activity, analyze performance metrics, and provide regular reporting on business development progress and revenue forecasts.
  • Ensure contracts, deposits, and key booking requirements are secured prior to handoff to production or operations teams.
  • Support a high-touch client experience that reflects the company’s standards of service excellence and brand values.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • This is a remote position requiring regular and consistent use of a computer, telephone, and other standard office equipment to perform job duties.
  • The role requires frequent travel for client meetings, venue tours, and industry networking events.
  • While performing site visits and client meetings, the employee will be required to walk, stand, and navigate event or venue spaces for extended periods.
  • Occasional lifting of items up to 25 pounds may be required in support of site inspections or event-related activities.
  • The position may require flexibility in working hours, including evenings and/or weekends, depending on client needs and event schedules.
  • The employee must be able to effectively manage responsibilities in both a remote work environment and on-site client-facing settings.

Work Schedule Expectations

  • 8 hours/day, 5 days/week
  • Evenings, weekends and holidays may be requested.
