Our client is a global industrial manufacturer with a significant North American manufacturing presence here in Western New York. They produce a portfolio of technologies that protect critical equipment and personnel across industrial environments worldwide. This is a stable, growth-oriented company investing heavily in its US operations.
The Opportunity
This is a pure hunter role. You will not be managing existing accounts. You will be building pipeline from zero, opening doors with companies that have never heard of our client, and developing entirely new verticals for their Audible and Visual Signaling product line across the United States.

What You Will Do
- Prospect, engage, and win new accounts in markets our client has not previously served
- Develop strategic plans to establish presence in high-value growth segments including gas detection, paper and pulp machinery, fire alarm integration, and industrial safety distribution
- Build and manage a robust opportunity pipeline aligned to growth targets
- Partner with regional sales reps and channel partners to support new business pursuits
- Provide quarterly forecasts and market intelligence back to product and leadership teams
- Transition developed accounts to the sales organization while retaining revenue credit
Qualifications and Skills
- 5+ years in business development, technical sales, or market development in an industrial or electrical/safety environment
- Demonstrated ability to open new accounts and build pipeline from scratch
- Technical aptitude: electrical or industrial product background preferred; an engineering degree is a plus but not required
- Entrepreneurial mindset with high accountability and self-direction
- Strong communicator who can engage engineers and procurement alike
- Western New York based strongly preferred
Compensation and Schedule
- Base salary $80,000 - $120,000 depending on experience
- 25% bonus: 20% tied to quarterly revenue performance, 5% self-directed KPIs
- Year one bonus weighted toward learning objectives
- 25-40% US travel; no international travel required
- Hybrid after an initial onsite training period (2-3 days remote per week)
