Role Description This is a full-time role for a Business Development Manager. The Business Development Manager will identify and develop new business opportunities across target sectors, including automotive, industrial, and aerosol markets, while growing revenue with existing accounts. Daily activities include prospecting and lead generation, managing the sales pipeline, preparing proposals and quotations, and delivering technical and commercial presentations to potential clients. The role involves close collaboration with engineering, production, and commercial teams to translate customer requirements into viable solutions, support pricing strategies, and ensure successful project handover. The Business Development Manager will also monitor market trends, participate in industry events, and maintain accurate reporting and forecasting to support strategic planning.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in business development, technical sales, or account management within manufacturing, materials engineering, or a related industrial sector.
  • Strong commercial acumen, including skills in negotiation, pipeline management, opportunity qualification, and closing complex deals.
  • Ability to understand technical products and processes (e.g., rubber, plastics, foam components, sealing and insulation solutions) and communicate them clearly to customers.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at multiple levels and collaborate effectively with cross-functional internal teams.
  • Competence in using CRM systems, MS Office tools, and data analysis to track performance, prepare reports, and support decision-making.
  • Self-motivated, results-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites and Group locations as required.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in engineering, business, materials science, or a related discipline preferred.
