Business Development Manager - Government Open Space Infrastructure
Love winning new business and creating places communities enjoy for generations?
Civic Infrastructure Services, a part of the Furphy Infrastructure Group, is looking for a commercially driven Business Development Manager to help grow its business nationally.
Working with Local and State Government, consultants, contractors and asset owners, you'll use your well-developed business development skills to identify opportunities early, build trusted relationships and help deliver and maintain open space infrastructure projects that become valued community assets for years to come.
This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the next phase of the Civic Infrastructure business. As a well-established business in the installation and maintenance of public infrastructure, Civic is expanding into new product categories, installation, maintenance and management solutions.
About the Role
This is a genuine business development role for someone who enjoys face to face selling - opening doors, building relationships and winning new work. Within that context, though, we seek a candidate who understands the complexities and challenges in winning work within a government context.
As the successful candidate, you'll:
- Develop new opportunities across government, education, and infrastructure sectors.
- Build relationships with councils, government agencies, private and public schools, universities, consultants and contractors.
- Position Civic early in the project lifecycle.
- Work with our estimating and tender team to develop successful submissions.
- Grow and develop a healthy sales pipeline, prioritising leads and acting with urgency on emerging opportunities.
- Help identify new markets, products and service opportunities.
About You
You're commercially driven, proactive and enjoy the challenge of winning new business.
You'll bring:
- Proven business development success.
- Experience working with or selling to Local or State Government.
- Strong relationship-building and networking skills.
- Experience contributing to tenders or proposals.
- A strategic mindset and passion for identifying growth opportunities.
Experience in construction, infrastructure, landscape architecture or the built environment is highly regarded but not essential.
Why Join Civic?
Every project delivered by Civic leaves a lasting mark on our communities. From parks and playgrounds to public spaces, sports, leisure and related civic infrastructure, you'll help create and maintain places that Australians use every day.
Based at North Lakes, but embracing the road-based nature of business development, you'll enjoy genuine autonomy, the support of an experienced national technical team. The role offers flexible working arrangements and the opportunity to help shape the future growth of a respected infrastructure business through an exciting phase.
If you're motivated by winning new business and want your work to make a real difference in communities across Queensland, we'd love to hear from you. Please apply now via the link on this page.
