About the Role
We are seeking a full time, highly motivated, and enthusiastic individual to join the Hotel's Sales & Marketing Team as Business Development Executive.
In this role, you will proactively identify and secure new business opportunities while nurturing and expanding key and target accounts across the Corporate, Groups, and Conference & Events segments. Reporting to the Director of Sales and Marketing, you will actively promote the hotel's products and services, generate qualified leads, and maximise revenue through strategic cross-selling across all hotel departments.
This is a dynamic, multi-faceted role that requires excellent organisational, multi-tasking, and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively target new Corporate Accounts, acting with initiative and purpose to drive business growth
- Maintain small – mid level Corporate Accounts, monitoring production on a monthly basis with accuracy and attention to detail
- Co-ordination and hosting of familiarisations and site inspections across all Sales Segments, delivering an engaging, enriching and professional experience
- Assist with implementing Business Plan and Sales Strategy, contributing with a team-focused and ownership mindset
- Promptly respond to incoming enquiries for Corporate Rates, Groups and MICE, ensuring an efficient and effortless client experience
- Follow up and execute contracts for Corporate, Groups and MICE with accuracy, integrity and professionalism
- Developing quotes and proposals tailored to client needs, ensuring value and quality outcomes
- Establish and maintain relationships with key clients to develop future business, grounded in trust, respect and long-term partnership
- Attendance in Trade Shows, Networking Events and Interstate Sales Trips
- Remaining up-to-date with rates, packages and operational details of the hotel in order to confidently and professionally handle site inspections with the hotel’s client base
About You
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role; hospitality or luxury hotel experience highly regarded
- Strong ability to build rapport and foster positive relationships with both clients and internal stakeholders
- Highly organised, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities with strong attention to detail
- Outstanding personal presentation and attention to detail
- Collaborative team player with the ability to work effectively across departments
- Enthusiastic, curious, and passionate about luxury hospitality, events, food and beverage
- Confidence in using hotel-based computer systems, with Opera Cloud experience highly regarded
- Professional, and client-focused, with a commitment to delivering exceptional experiences
