About Spotwork
Spotwork is an industrial labor platform that helps companies in warehousing, logistics, distribution, food processing, and manufacturing connect with reliable workers when they need them most.
With more than 750,000 workers on the platform and a 95%+ fulfillment rate across 35+ U.S. markets, Spotwork helps operations teams reduce staffing uncertainty and keep business moving.
About the Role
Spotwork is hiring an Account Executive to build and grow our Florida market, with an initial focus on Tampa. This role is for someone who is comfortable owning the full sales cycle, building pipeline from scratch, and spending time in the field with customers and prospects.
This role is best suited for a true hunter. You will prospect, run discovery, build relationships with decision-makers, attend industry events, and close new customers across industries such as warehousing, logistics, distribution, supply chain, manufacturing, and food processing.
This is a work-from-home role, but it is not a remote-only desk sales role. Travel is required, including local customer visits, prospect meetings, conferences, trade shows, and client dinners. Travel may be heavier early on while you are building the market.
What You’ll Do
- Generate and close new business in Florida, with a focus on Tampa.
- Build your own pipeline through cold calling, personalized email, LinkedIn outreach, networking, and field prospecting.
- Research target accounts using ICP criteria, intent data, ZoomInfo, and other available tools.
- Meet with prospects and customers in person to build strong business relationships.
- Attend conferences, trade shows, supply chain events, and other industry gatherings.
- Help plan and support executive dinners or market events with qualified prospects.
- Run discovery calls, deliver demos, and clearly explain Spotwork’s value to different buyer personas.
- Manage multiple customer conversations at the same time and keep momentum moving.
- Maintain accurate activity, pipeline, and customer records in HubSpot.
- Share market feedback with leadership and collaborate with the broader sales team.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in a quota-carrying sales role, ideally as an Account Executive, Business Development Manager, Sales Executive, Territory Sales Manager, Regional Sales Manager, or similar.
- Experience selling into supply chain, warehousing, logistics, distribution, food processing, manufacturing, staffing, recruiting, workforce solutions, or a related field.
- Strong prospecting skills and a track record of building pipeline independently.
- Comfort selling in the field, not just from behind a computer.
- Ability to build trust with operations leaders, hiring managers, and other business decision-makers.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain a practical business value proposition clearly.
- Organized approach to managing pipeline, follow-ups, events, and customer conversations.
- Willingness to travel for customer visits, events, trade shows, conferences, and client dinners.
- A self-starter mindset, strong follow-through, and resilience in a new-market sales environment.
Preferred Background
- Staffing agency, industrial staffing, workforce solutions, or labor marketplace sales experience.
- Existing relationships in warehousing, logistics, supply chain, distribution, food processing, manufacturing, or related industries.
- Experience selling to operations-heavy business.
- Prior experience with companies such as traditional staffing agencies or labor marketplace platforms.
