As a Business Development Representative, you’ll be the first point of contact for municipalities and engineering firms discovering how Cyvl’s technology can transform their infrastructure programs, directly fueling our mission to modernize how communities care for their roads.

About You
You’re a self-starter who thrives on connecting with new people and opening doors. In this role, you’ll drive top-of-funnel growth by identifying and engaging municipalities, DOTs, and civil engineering firms that can benefit from Cyvl’s infrastructure intelligence platform. Your outreach will directly shape our sales pipeline and accelerate Cyvl’s expansion into new markets across the country. This is a full-time, on-site position at our Somerville, MA headquarters starting ASAP.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and research potential leads across municipalities, DOTs, and civil engineering firms to build a robust prospect pipeline
- Manage outbound communications (email, phone, LinkedIn) and execute multi-channel lead generation campaigns
- Qualify inbound and outbound leads, schedule discovery calls and demos, and hand off opportunities to the sales team
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective clients while tracking all activity and progress in CRM tools
- Proficiency in inside sales and lead generation with a track record of identifying and pursuing new business opportunities
- Strong sales and business development skills with the ability to build and maintain a growing network of clients
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively engage with clients and internal teams
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Psychology, or a related field preferred
- Familiarity with AI tools, CRM platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce), and sales engagement software
- Interest in or exposure to government technology, infrastructure, or civic tech industries
