Role Description: The Global Sales Professional is a full-time, on-site role based in Milwaukie, OR, responsible for driving international sales of Cranston’s custom machinery, tools, and related services.
This role includes identifying and developing new global markets, managing existing customer accounts, and building long-term relationships with distributors, agents, and end users.
Day-to-day activities include working with current and new customer to help them define the needed solution for their application or handling needs. Customer interaction, demonstrations, preparing quotations and proposals, negotiating contracts, and coordinating with engineering and production teams to align solutions with customer requirements. The Global Sales Professional will regularly travel to customer locations, trade shows, and industry events, while maintaining accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and CRM records. Collaboration with internal teams to support installation, service, and after-sales needs is essential to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and repeat business.
Qualifications:
- Strong global sales and business development experience, including prospecting, account management, and contract negotiation.
- Technical aptitude and ability to understand industrial machinery, custom solutions, and production processes.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills for engaging clients across diverse cultures and regions.
- Experience with CRM tools, sales reporting, and basic financial analysis related to pricing, margins, and forecasts.
- Proven ability to collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and service teams to deliver tailored customer solutions.
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally as needed to support customers, partners, and trade events. Anticipated at about 50% travel time.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Background in industrial equipment, packaging, pulp & paper, or related manufacturing industries is highly beneficial.
