Description

About the Company:

Our client is a leading global food and beverage business with a long-standing presence in New Zealand’s foodservice sector. They’ve built their name on trusted brands and strong customer relationships, and they’re backing this role to go find the next wave of growth.

The Role

This is a genuine hunter’s role. Reporting to the NZ Business Manager, you’ll go after new business across QSR, healthcare, aged care, contract catering and more, spotting opportunities others have missed and turning them into long-term partnerships. The focus is on expanding the customer base and driving sustainable growth, not simply maintaining what’s already in place.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the national pipeline, hunting new business across QSR, healthcare, aged care and contract catering.
  • Open doors with new customers and turn early conversations into signed partnerships.
  • Build and run Joint Business Plans that keep growth commitments on track.
  • Lead Top-to-Top meetings and quarterly reviews that keep the business front of mind with key accounts.
  • Negotiate and close tenders, agreements and commercial proposals
  • Identify white space in the market and build the commercial case to move on it.
  • Bring Sales, Marketing, Finance and Supply Chain together to land the right solution for each customer.
  • Keep a close eye on forecasts and pivot quickly when the numbers say it’s time to.

Key Skills & Experience Required

  • 5+ years in a commercial role, ideally within foodservice or out-of-home.
  • A track record of turning cold opportunities into signed, profitable contracts.
  • Genuinely energised by chasing new business, not just maintaining what’s already there.
  • Sharp with data and comfortable using it to back a commercial argument.
  • Skilled at winning people over without relying on title or authority.
  • Comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Background in aged care, healthcare or QSR is a strong plus, not a must.
  • Confident at the negotiating table, from trading terms through to tenders.

What’s In It For You

This is a rare opportunity to shape a national growth agenda from the ground up. You’ll have genuine autonomy to identify and pursue new business, backed by the resources and scale of a well-established global business.
