Director of Business Development

CLAW Logistics, based in Sterling Heights, is seeking a Dedicated Business Development professional to grow our non-automotive business unit. This role is focused on hunting new business, long-term customer relationships, and developing tailored dedicated transportation solutions for mid-market and enterprise customers. This individual will play a key role in shaping Claw Logistics growth strategy in the dedicated space. Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Management, or related field of study; equivalent work experience accepted.
• 5+ years of logistics experience, with extensive non-automotive background.
• Strong understanding of logistics pricing, quoting, and contract negotiation.
• Self-starter who thrives in dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.
• Willingness to travel frequently between regional locations.

Job Requirements:

• Prospect and develop new customers for dedicated fleet and contract logistics solutions
• Identify opportunities to transition brokerage customers into dedicated or committed capacity models
• Lead full sales cycle: prospecting, discovery, solution design, proposal, and closing
• Partner with operations and Director of Sales to design cost-effective, scalable dedicated solutions
• Lead and respond to RFPs/RFIs, building competitive and differentiated proposals
• Build strong relationships with decision-makers in key verticals such as automotive, manufacturing, and retail
• Maintain and actively manage a sales pipeline with a focus on closing high-value, long-term contracts
• Collaborate internally to ensure smooth onboarding and successful implementation of new accounts
• Track activity and manage pipeline through CRM (or internal tracking tools)
