About the Role.
Job Title: Business Development Advisor
Job Location: Kuwait.
Department: On Sync Energy Management Services Company.
Job Responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate, and develop upstream oil and gas business opportunities aligned with corporate strategy.
- Conduct commercial, technical, economic, and regulatory assessments of potential business opportunities and investments.
- Support the development, negotiation, and implementation of upstream petroleum agreements, including Production Sharing Contracts (PSCs), Concession Agreements, and Joint Operating Agreements (JOAs).
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders throughout opportunity evaluation, tendering, contract award, and project execution.
- Prepare and review commercial terms, contract documentation, and tender requirements to support business development activities.
- Evaluate project economics, commercial risks, financing options, and investment feasibility, providing recommendations to management.
- Monitor partnership performance and support contract implementation, compliance, renewals, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide commercial, regulatory, and contractual guidance to project teams and management.
- Foster strategic partnerships and maintain effective relationships with industry stakeholders, partners, and regulatory authorities.
- Identify opportunities to improve business development processes and support organizational growth initiatives.
Qualification Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Geosciences, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 15 years of technical and commercial experience in the upstream Oil & Gas Exploration and Production (E&P) industry.
- Proven experience with upstream petroleum agreements, including Production Sharing Contracts (PSCs), Concession Agreements, and Joint Operating Agreements (JOAs).
- Strong knowledge of commercial negotiations, contract management, regulatory compliance, and business development practices.
- Experience evaluating project economics, investment opportunities, commercial risks, and financial feasibility.
- Strong understanding of contract law, commercial terms, and upstream regulatory frameworks.
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and managing complex stakeholder relationships.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, analytical, project management, and problem-solving skills.
- International or cross-border upstream Oil & Gas business development experience is preferred.
