Business Development Manager – P&C (Ascoma)

Ascoma, a company of Chedid Capital Group, is looking for a Business Development Manager – Property and Casualty, who will be responsible for defining and implementing the business development strategy to identify new market opportunities, develop new business channels, and support the company’s growth.

Responsibilities

• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify new business opportunities and develop new growth channels.
• Lead high-value commercial proposals, responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and contractual negotiations with prospective clients.
• Prospect and acquire new corporate clients through targeted networking initiatives, while managing and strengthening relationships with existing clients and insurance partners.
• Work closely with underwriting, claims, and operations teams to ensure efficient and tailored handling of client needs.
• Supervise, support, and develop the business development team to ensure achievement of KPIs and growth targets.
• Monitor, analyze, and report key performance indicators as well as the progress of the sales pipeline.
• Prepare and present commercial performance reports to senior management and executive-level stakeholders.

Requirements

• University degree, preferably a Master’s degree.
• At least 5 years of experience in insurance, reinsurance, or brokerage, ideally with exposure to the African market.
• Fluency in French, English, and Arabic is required.
