About This Role
As an Account Manager in the Molecular Diagnostics (MDx) division, you will be responsible for sales and business development in Western Switzerland. Your focus will be on private laboratories, hospitals, and university hospitals. You will build lasting customer relationships, identify new business opportunities, and actively contribute to the further development of our clinical diagnostics portfolio. In doing so, you will work closely with internal teams and position QIAGEN as a strong partner in the healthcare sector.
Your Tasks
• Responsibility for the Western Switzerland sales territory with a focus on clinical diagnostics solutions (Molecular Diagnostics)
• Establishing and maintaining long-term customer relationships with private laboratories, hospitals, and university hospitals
• Identifying and developing new business opportunities in the field of Molecular Diagnostics (MDx)
• Conducting product presentations and consulting sessions at both the scientific and commercial levels
• Developing and implementing regional sales strategies to achieve targets
• Close collaboration with marketing, application teams, and other internal stakeholders
• Monitoring market trends and competitor activities
Your Profile
• A completed degree or vocational training in life sciences, diagnostics, or a comparable qualification focused on biology/ molecular biology
• Initial experience in sales; experience in molecular diagnostics or clinical diagnostics is desirable
• Very good understanding of the needs of laboratories and clinical facilities
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Independent, structured, and goal-oriented work style
• Willingness to travel within Western Switzerland
• Very good French and German skills, as well as good English skills
