Responsibilities
Lead the Commercial Department.
Manage and supervise the Sales team.
Manage and supervise the Pricing Executive.
Review the commercial pipeline on a daily and weekly basis.
Monitor leads, RFQs, quotations, won bookings, and lost opportunities.
Review important RFQs and high-value opportunities.
Approve special pricing cases within authority.
Review and approve low GP cases within approved limits.
Escalate below-minimum GP, credit exceptions, major discounts, and strategic cases to the Founder / GM.
Protect gross profit and ensure expected GP is recorded before quotations are sent.
Monitor pricing response time and pricing SLA compliance.
Review quotation speed and quotation quality.
Support the Sales Team in difficult negotiations and strategic customers.
Review lost opportunities and lost reasons.
Identify repeated lost reasons such as price, delay, payment terms, or weak follow-up.
Build and improve supplier, carrier, agent, and vendor network with the Pricing Executive.
Review supplier competitiveness and repeated supplier issues.
Coordinate with Marketing on lead quality, target sectors, source-to-RFQ performance, and commercial feedback.
Coordinate with Operations to ensure won bookings are handed over correctly.
Coordinate with Finance on collected GP, commission calculation, collection issues, and customer payment concerns.
Prepare and submit weekly commercial reports.
Participate in monthly commercial performance review.
Ensure CRM discipline and system updates across the commercial team.
Escalate commercial risks to the Founder / GM when needed.
Coach, correct, and develop the commercial team.
Must Have
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, International Trade, or a related field.
Strong freight forwarding experience.
Experience in import and export shipments.
Good understanding of sea freight, air freight, land freight, trucking, customs, and local charges.
Experience in RFQs, quotations, pricing coordination, and customer follow-up.
Good knowledge of supplier, carrier, agent, and vendor communication.
Ability to review cost, selling price, expected GP, and margin.
Experience managing a small sales or commercial team is preferred.
Ability to work with CRM or system-based workflows.
Good understanding of B2B customer handling.
Ability to prepare commercial reports and performance summaries
Nice to Have
Experience With Odoo ERP Or Other CRM Systems.
Experience managing strategic accounts.
Strong analytical and commercial reporting skills.
